presentation of the book by Maria Luisa Frisa
Le forme della moda, published by Il Mulino
Creation, business, culture, communication: they are among the constitutive dimensions of fashion, which explain its character in perpetual transformation. If on the one hand it must adapt to the needs of the global market, on the other it must preserve those qualities and imaginations that make each piece extraordinary and desirable. This book restores the complexity of the contemporary fashion system: from its relationship with time to its role in redefining gender and identity; from the global trajectories of luxury to new forms of democratization of dress; from emerging professions to fashion understood as a cultural and industrial system in which marketing, publishing, curating, museum intertwine.
